The Printing House
Vancouver, BC

When designing the Vancouver premises of this national printing and graphics company, MCM Interiors Ltd. had two major objectives: to organize a limited but highly utilized space for maximum flexibility and to project a thoroughly up-market image for the client.

This award-winning design solution introduces a bold graphic treatment on walls and ceiling which combines with the dynamic shapes and forms of millwork and flooring to produce a cohesive design statement brimming with creativity and vitality. The Printing House's three main functions – Production, Serevice and Graphics – are symbolically unifed by the centrally located common-use boardroom: a stylized house. Production is set off from higher-profiled areas to maintain and project the quality office/retail environment clients have come to expect.

This project shows how a bold approach to design can meld functionality and space utilization with striking visual impact.
