This property, formerly the Coast Whistler Hotel, was well known as an affordable respite for mainly younger, ski group excursion travelers. The hotel has recently undergone a complete renovation to appeal to a more international and adventurous clientele base. Both an architectural facelift to the exterior, as well as a complete renovation to the interiors upgraded the existing facilities.

The new schemes for the interiors were loosely based on the theme of “Fire and Ice”. A hip, modern aesthetic features the play of cool and warm materials, and includes both natural and sleek materials.

The hotel opened in November 2009 in time for the 2010 Winter and Para Olympic Games.
