The Centre for Digital Media is a state-of-the-art multimedia facility for education and research. It is the result of a collaboration between the BC Provincial Government, Industry, and four of BC’s major post-secondary institutions: the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, Emily Carr University of Art and Design and the British Columbia Institute of Technology.

The design concept is inspired by 3D software programs that utilize the grid for coordinates, starting points for 3D graphic image production. The ground floor includes faculty offices, administrative offices, classrooms, training rooms, resources library, games lounge, student locker, and coffee room as well as a digital gallery and lounge areas for students.

The Design and Construction for the Centre for Digital Media was completed in a hyper fast-track schedule which included the Interior and Exterior upgrades, all furniture, fixtures, equipment graphics, art, and landscaping.
