Electronic Arts Downtown Campus

Vancouver, BC

MCM Interiors and Musson Cattell Mackey Partnership combined forces to design new downtown studio and office space for Electronic Arts on the top four floors of 20-storey PricewaterhouseCoopers Place in downtown Vancouver. The four floors, which provide 56,000 square feet of space, are connected by a double spiral steel staircase enclosed in glass and topped by a skylight. This feature is a powerful, visible expression of the energy, drive, and ambition that is at the heart of the Electronic Arts story, and it radiates its influence throughout the entire space. All of Electronic Art’s products are about animation, motion, interaction, and fluidity, and these were the concepts the design team sought to embody in every aspect of this project. The top floor is home to the Executive Offices of Electronic Arts Worldwide Studios, while the other three floors function as working studios for the design, development, and production of Electronic Arts' hugely successful interactive entertainment software. In particular, these studios generate the Need for Speed™ line of products, as well as Electronic Arts' NHL Hockey series. All together, some 300 people work and play here every day.
