This 3-storey research building, located at the Oak Street hospital site, houses laboratory and educational facilities within its 86,500 square feet.

An open sculptural stair creates a forum where opportunities for cross communication, the sharing of ideas and findings between research scientists, can occur. Laboratory facilities are located around the perimeter of the floor with their respective support service cores on the interior. Despite the technical nature of the space, the soothing colour palette coupled with illuminated niches for the display of artwork help to humanize and animate the space.
